Vegan Bean Dip is an easy, tasty appetizer recipe that's perfect for parties and game day.
This black bean dip is perfect for chip dipping. Plus, it is made right in the slow cooker for an easy entertaining recipe that doesn't need a lot of extra prep.
Lately, I love making appetizer and snack recipes in the slow cooker. I just shared my slow cooker vegan queso recipe. Have you seen the recipe yet? Vegan queso is made from real whole food ingredients and can be used in so many different ways.
Smokey chipotle bean dip only takes a few minutes to prep and uses mostly pantry ingredients.
bean dip ingredients:
- Refried beans- to keep things super easy, I like to use canned vegetarian refried beans. You can use either refried pinto or black beans for the bean dip. For this recipe, I prefer to use refried black beans.
- Salsa- for a smokey flavor, I like to use a chipotle salsa. I really like the smokey flavor of the chipotles with black beans.
- Chili powder- a little chili powder adds a kick to the dip. To add even more chipotle flavor, I like to use a chipotle chili powder.
- Cheddar cheese- I've made this dip with and without cheese. Both versions are great, but I do love the addition of cheese. To keep it dairy-free, I used a vegan cheddar shredded cheese.
