Start your day off right with this healthy and refreshing Strawberry Mango Smoothie with notes of citrus and fresh ginger.
This year I really wanted to try and incorporate more smoothies into my daily diet. Smoothies were just never my thing. I thought that it was time to change that and start having more smoothies. I have been creating different fruit smoothie combinations and today I’m sharing one of my new favorites: Strawberry Mango Smoothie. Strawberries and mangos are two of my favorite fruits and they pair really well together in smoothies.
Since citrus fruits are still in season right now, I wanted to add a little citrus flair to the Strawberry Mango Smoothie. Having citrus in your smoothies is a great way to add vitamin C to your diet. I find that I need extra vitamin C boost when the the weather transitions from Winter to Spring.
Freshly squeezed orange juice and a clementine add that citrus layer of flavor and complements the strawberry and mango very well. I can never get enough ginger and lately I have been loving it in smoothies. Fresh ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and it also helps with digestion.
This Strawberry Mango Smoothie is also banana free. Leave a comment letting me know if you aren’t a big fan of bananas in your smoothies. Both my Mom and Husband can’t stand bananas in smoothies. They will take one sip and as soon as they detect there is banana in the smoothie they will not drink it. I personally like bananas in smoothies and like the flavor the banana adds to the smoothie.
Having this Strawberry Mango Smoothie in the morning is a healthy and very nutritious way to start off your day! I like to stock my freezer with frozen fruits for anytime a smoothie craving hits, which is now more often and I am loving it!
I am still working my way through all the strawberries I picked at my local berry farm last year. I will definitely be sad when my supply is gone! Luckily strawberry season will be here in a few months and I will be picking lots of strawberries and freezing them to use throughout the year. I highly recommend freezing fruits when they are in season because they always taste better, especially when they are locally grown and organic!

- 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
- 1 Cup Frozen Mango
- 1 Clementine, peeled
- 1 Tsp Freshly Grated Ginger
- 1/2 Cup Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1/2 Cup Water
- In a high speed blender add all the ingredients. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides if necessary. If you blender is having troubles blending, add in a splash of water.
- Enjoy immediately!
