Mexican Style Vegan Hot Dogs are perfect for your next outdoor party!
Growing up in the country, we loved to gather around a bonfire on the weekend. Sitting around the fire is the perfect way to relax on the weekend. Our lives can be very hectic and busy, and sometimes it is just nice to sit around the campfire with friends and family.
Hot dogs are a must at any bonfire. Lightlife recently sent me the cutest outdoor fire pit. Perfect for entertaining. Even though summer might be coming to and end, the fall is also a great time to have a bonfire.
I wanted to share a simple and easy hot dog recipe with you. This recipe is inspired by a few different Mexican hot dog recipes. Some Mexican style hot dog recipes add bacon and pickled jalapeños on top. You could definitely add some vegan bacon and jalapeños if you like things spicy!
First, you start by heating the Smart Dogs over the fire. It just takes a few minutes for these hot dogs to warm-up!
After the veggie dogs are heated, they got topped with a delicious combination of condiments.I usually add ketchup and mustard to my vegan dogs. This was my first time adding vegan mayo and potato chips. You guys, this combination is so good!
You can use your favorite potato chips; Mexican style potato chips are really good here.
Have you ever added potato chips to your hot dogs? Such a delicious combination.
If you like things extra spicy, add a few pickled jalapeños on top!
There is nothing greater than spending time outdoors around the campfire. It is fun for the whole family!
