Ironworks Hotel: Experience America's Industrial Age with Modern Amenities.
Located just North of Indianapolis, near the Keystone Fashion Mall, you'll discover touches industrial items throughout the Ironworks Hotel. If you are looking for a unique hotel in the Midwest, the Ironworks Hotel just might be the perfect boutique hotel for you.
Earlier this month, I took a holiday getaway to Indiana. My first stop was the Ironworks Hotel. I first discovered this unique boutique hotel online, and after seeing the pictures I needed to plan a visit asap!
After a warm welcome from the valet attendant, I walked my way up to the second floor. As I made my way up the stairs, I couldn't help but notice the metal gears used to make a U.S. flag. The perfect touch of decor for a hotel inspired by America's Industrial age.
I made my way to check-in, where I can't get over the lobby space and decor. After receiving my room key, I made my way to the legacy suite.
As soon as I entered the suite, I left right at home.
This oversized suite includes not one, but two televisions—perfect for enjoying a movie in bed.
The suite features a spa-like bathroom, plush robes, and an industrial inspired seating area.
I loved the desk area—perfect for catching up on some work.
Usually when I travel, I prefer to go out and explore the area as much as possible. During my stay at the Ironworks Hotel, I never wanted to leave! If you are looking for a hotel for a staycation, the Ironworks Hotel is a great choice!
In the morning, I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the plus robe. The perfect way to start any morning.
After spending a relaxing morning in my suite, it was time to pack up and leave. I really wish that I had booked another night!
Dinning at the Ironworks Hotel
There are a handful of restaurants located inside the hotel. During my stay, I dinned at Blue Sushi Saki Grill, located on the 1st floor of the hotel.
Blue Sushi Saki Grill
I was really excited to dine here because they had quite a few vegan options on the menu.
I almost wasn't able to eat here because my server never came to my table. It was about 15 minutes before I was greeted by another server. I almost left, because it was just too long of a wait. I am glad that I stuck out the wait because the food was worth it!
I order two vegan rolls: Shiitake To Me and Thai Hippie.
The Shiitake To Me roll was full of flavor. The roll had wild mushroom that were sautéed in coconut milk, shiitake vegan tempura, sweet potato tempura, truffle oil, sweet soy, and thai basil. This roll had such unique flavors and textures. I really loved the shiitake vegan tempura addition to the roll. I would definitely order this roll again!
The Thai Hippie roll had tofu vegan tempura, avocado, cucumber, carrot, topped with thai peanut sauce, cashew with thai basil, cilantro, mint and red onion salad. I loved the peanut sauce. It went really well withe the tofu tempura and thai basil.
Provision
I wish that I had enough time to dine at Provision. Located right off the Ironworks Hotel lobby is Provision—an upscale restaurant and bar.
They do have a vegan entree on the menu too! Next time, I definitely make the time to dine here.
