Situation along the perfect waterfront location, you'll find the Cherry Tree Inn & Suites in Traverse City, Michigan.

Cherry Treen Inn & Suites in Traverse City, Michigan is the perfect waterfront location along the bay.
Traverse City, Michigan is one of my favorite weekend getaways in Michigan. Traverse City is less than two and half hours from Grand Rapids, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. On my most recent trip to Traverse City, when I wasn't out exploring the Traverse City Ale Trail, I was relaxing on my private balcony at the Cherry Tree Inn & Suites.

    Checking-In

When I arrived to Traverse City, it was around 12 pm. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to check-in early. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by the front desk. My room was ready and I was able to check-in early. This worked out perfectly because my brewery tour was at 4. This gave me plenty of time to relax and get ready before heading out to the breweries.

At Cherry Tree Inn & Suites, you'll find spacious rooms with modern accommodations along the perfect waterfront location in Traverse City.
    location

Cherry Tree Inn & Suites is located along the East Grand Traverse Bay. The 400 foot private beach alone is worth staying here. The hotel is located a few miles outside the downtown area of Traverse City.

The hotel has 76 rooms, which are equipped with many modern amenities. I stayed in the Lake Michigan studio, which was 661 square feet. The room was spacious and well laid out. The king pillow-top bed was a welcomed retreat after a long day of exploring Traverse City. The room also had a refrigerator, large sink, cookware and mini stove top, which is great if you wanted to stay in and make your own meals. I love having a fridge in the room, just incase I have some leftovers or bought a few snacks and drinks.

The room also has a 2 person spa jacuzzi tub and a fireplace, which helps to create the perfect cozy, relaxing atmosphere.

    the view

My absolute favorite part of my room was the view from the private balcony. I loved listening to the waves at night. It was peaceful and relaxing.

There is also a bonfire pit and chairs located on the beach. I can't think of a better way to relax at the end of the day!

    Other Amenities

The hotel does offer continental breakfast, which does include fresh fruit, bread and jams. There also have spa water set out all day, which is a nice added touch. There is also complimentary wifi in all guest rooms.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. If you are planning a trip to Traverse City, I would definitely recommend staying at the Cherry Tree Inn & Suites.
